THE CHICANO TELEVISION NETWORK

This SKETCH COMEDY SHOW was started back in late 1999 by comedian RAMSEYS De La CRUZ.

Who PRODUCES, WRITES, DIRECTS and EDITS "CHICANO TV".

The weekly half-hour sketch comedy show formerly titled "CREAMED COMEDY with RAMSEYS" is currently re-running it's Sixth SEASON.

CHICANO TV is currently seen in ten different cities and towns in NEW MEXICO and will be expanding into CALIFORNIA, ARIZONA, COLORADO and TEXAS by the end of 2008. Also if you live in Manchester New Hampshire on the East Coast CHICANO TV is on every other day on TV channel 23. Certain commercial spoofs from CHICANO TV's third season did run on the short lived ORLANDO JONES SHOW on THE F/X CHANNEL. MTV just bought all of the old episodes of the Orlando Jones Show so be sure to look out for some sketches on "Chico and Guapo" on MTV

Back in 1999 I was trying to get on a show called QUE LOCOS when it dawned on me and I asked myself "why is this the only thing on TV for CHICANO comedians?" Right then and there I decided to do my own sketch comedy show. At a recent F.C.C. town hall meeting here in ALBUQUERQUE, former F.C.C. commisioner Gloria Tristani said "On prime time television, Hispanic characters appear in less than 3% of programming and Native Americans don't really appear at all. Today less than 3% of media is owned by minorities." This is what has to change. here in Albuquerque the only way to see local Chicano's is either on the news or on Cops.

This is why Chicano TV's audience grows every three months, because together we can make social and political changes happen.
